ABOUT US

Us and the Maine Coon
Ours is a kennel born from a lot of love and true passion for this wonderful breed which in our opinion is the most docile, curious and wonderfully feline... It is no coincidence that they are called the Gentle Giants... Those who approach the Maine Coon for the first time , he almost always does it because he is a majestic giant and imposing, and for no other reason he is one of the largest cats in the world. Some male specimens can weigh even over 10 kg and the females, when really large, even reach 7/8 kg ..But only after having him at home you discover how good, docile he is and how much more similar his behavior is to a dog than to any other feline. The famous Cat-Dogs both for their size and for their behavior towards humans , the house and what surrounds them. Our cats live in the warmth of the family, free at home and free to live as furry humans. They follow a targeted, healthy and balanced diet for perfectly linear growth, have all the attention possible and live in a state of perfect hygiene.

Their Healt And Care
GENERAL LINES AND ADVICE.
The Maine Coon :
Hygiene and coat : It is not a cat that needs excessive care of its fur, a daily brushing with a carder and a comb with alternating teeth and a comb in case of knots will be sufficient to keep the fur in an optimal manner and not knotted. In addition, a monthly bath that helps remove "dead" fur and maintain a shiny and healthy coat with specific natural products that we can also suggest will complete his care and grooming.
Feeding : We give our cats both wet and dry food. We are consumers and sponsors of Royal Canin and specifically Maine Coon Kitten and Adult, a studied and truly nutritious food for them.
Vitamins : We suggest, VMP paste which we administer from the 3rd month of age of the cat up to the 10th once a day for ten days a month
Litter : Already in XL format since puppies closed with lid and filters with activated carbon. Inside, Catsan litter proved to be the best for us with frequent changes every maximum of two or three days
The scratching post : It is a fundamental and integral part of his life, a refuge to sleep, a game, a portion of life and where he can finally sharpen his claws.
Bowls: : Made of stainless steel as they are much more hygienic than the others, one for wet food, one for dry food and one for water. Kibbles and water are always available. We give our cats low-mineral water that contains little calcium, as a too high a quantity of calcium can cause problems for the cats' kidneys. We wash our cats' litter trays with water and amuchina to disinfect them once every three days when we carry out the change. The bowls are naturally washed and sanitized every day after each meal also with food sanitizing products.
Care : We recommend keeping Enterophilus or Florentero on hand in case of sporadic diarrhea in addition to the Royal Canin gastro which is really effective. It is a good idea to keep a broad-spectrum antibiotic at home for a first intervention such as Ronaxan 20 (for kittens) or 100 (when the cat is an adult) or 50 Synulox (for puppies) or 250 (when the cat is an adult) in case of any unexpected emergency.
